The Vatican Museums Tour offers miles of historical, artistic and cultural itineraries of great breadth and enormous interest:  from Egyptian art to contemporaneous graffiti, ancient statues, Italian paintings of the last seven hundred years, and even the Pope’s cars.  The Vatican Museums were born as a private collection of the Popes at the end of 500 AD which was then opened to the public in 1932.

Regardless of the route you choose, your visit to the Vatican Museum is going to end in a spectacular way, the grandiose Sistine Chapel, built by Pope Sixtus IV and decorated with the famous fresco painting by Michelangelo.

The Basilica of Saint Peter is the mother church for all the Catholics in the world.  For that reason, it has been and continues to be a primary pilgrimage site for Christians.  It was built by the Emperor Constantine on the top of the tomb of Peter the Apostle, the first Roman Pope. Between 1500 and 1600 AD, it was completely rebuilt by the greatest Italian architects, including Bramante, Rafael, Michelangelo, Maderno, and Bernini.
